Upon completion, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be eligible to receive 1.5 hours CE credit. The learning objectives for this webinar are as follows:
• Describe the use and mechanism of action of probiotics
• Determine how to select the best product
• Identify patients who meet the criteria for use of the board approved protocol
• Discuss patient education the pharmacist must provide to meet the requirements of this protocol
• Examine and review the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy approved protocol criteria for pharmacists to initiate the dispensing of an over-the-counter probiotic for self care use
